They were not.
They were this beautiful, intimate, low key and honest celebration.
And I got to capture it. How lucky am I?!

Tim and Melissa | Wedding | St. Peter & St. Paul Catholic Church

Thursday, January 22, 2015

Tim and Melissa's engagement session was so full of little touches and sweet moments. It was no surprise their wedding was even more tender and loving.
Also, Melissa is one of the most smoken' hot brides of the year! You're a lucky man, Tim!

Jacquelyn and Sam | Wedding | First Look | Heritage Museum of Orange County | Blush and Mint

Of all my 2014 weddings this one might just have my favorite details. Its a feast of DIY goodness and the elegance brought by the Heritage Museum and Jackie's classic style are undeniable. I love their first look and the bounties of personal touches. Plus, Bees and Burlap did an amazing job with the overall execution and design of the this amazing wedding. View the rest of their stunning wedding and enjoy.

Brett and Chelsea | Wedding | Newport Beach LDS Temple | Mint and Gold Wedding

Wednesday, December 03, 2014

Brett is a good ol' boy. Growing up with Blake's youngest brother and always cracking jokes, making people smile. When we found out he was engaged to be married (in the Temple Blake and I were sealed in, no less!) we were so happy for him. His lovely wife, Chelsea, is such a stunning example of a lady and her whole style was rocking this wedding. Enjoy the DIY eye candy and the minty gold goodness.

Tanya and Justin | Wedding | Harpo Marx Estate | Black and White | First Look

Wednesday, September 24, 2014

When they exchanged gifts, I was left in tears.
The first look left me in tears.
Their friends who spoke during the ceremony had me in tears.
And their first dance left me smiling... but in tears.

This was SUCH a beautiful wedding and so completely focused on Tanya and Justin's enduring relationship and love for one another.

Beauty-full.

Denise and Shaun | Wayfarers Chapel Wedding | Backyard Reception

Thursday, November 21, 2013

Denise and I met when we were in 7th grade. We were kind of awkward  and rocked bangs, so of course we were friends.
Throughout high school we passed notebooks back and forth with VeggieTales songs and other notes inside and were just generally silly.

We kept in touch via Facebook and I was so happy and just honored when she asked us to capture her wedding day. Then she described her vision of her nuptials, I was that much more excited!

Lovely and Romantic with the Ceremony at the Wayfarer's Chapel and a backyard reception, Denise and Shaun's wedding was one our favorite weddings this year.

A&A First Look | Azusa Pacific University Wedding | Wedding Duo Film

Monday, July 22, 2013

Do you remember Amanda and Aaron and their lovely engagement session by the lake?
Well their wedding was equally adorable!

Held at Azusa Pacific University during an off and on rainy day, Amanda and Aaron tied the knot surround by friend's, family and loads of fun details and beautiful moments.

Amanda and Aaron chose to have a first look before the ceremony (a HUGE plus, stress reliever and fabulous moment-producer). It was so touching, and we were able to capture the romantics and wedding-party images pre-ceremony. (woohoo!)

The ceremony was personal and loving. Amanda and Aaron passed their wedding rings around on a custom pillow for their guests to touch and bless with their love.

The reception was a blast. Every guest received a custom candle at their table. They also received homemade pickles, which were amazing.

At the beginning of the reception, Amanda and Aaron showed their engagement video and it was a hit.

We feel honored to be a part of Amanda and Aaron's wedding day. Thank you, both, for your honesty of emotion and your love for one another. It made our job easy.

Denise & Zach | Exit | Attendants | Romantics | Newport Beach Temple

Monday, October 08, 2012

Denise and Zach were sealed in the Newport Beach LDS Temple on a perfect day.
They had friends and family all around them (very sharply dressed, I might add). The love and joy was all around that day.

On a personal note, as if we didn't feel old enough, Blake actually used to teach Denise Sunday school when she was youth at church.

It really was a special day all around.

Receptions are generally a just awesome parties.
Toasts and traditions are just buffers in between the party time.

Not so with Sarah and Victor.
Every toast, every dance, every moment was full of emotion and importance.
