Friday, January 21, 2011

Dancing in the moonlight, swaying in the street lights.
This was so stinkin romantic, I fell in love with Blake a little more.

Allie and Justing had the most amazing "First Dance" i have ever photographed.
They are such a beautiful couple, and we are so thankful to have been a part of their wedding day.

Yay for them!

Allie + Justin | Wedding | Reception | Candelas | Coronado, CA

Thursday, January 20, 2011

Allie and Justin had a beautiful dinner at Candelas in Coronado the food was amazing and the ambiance was perfection.

Bethany created the center pieces, and Candelas created the contemporary table settings.

This sweetie is Justin's niece. Her cheeks draw lips in. It's unavoidable.

Instead of a garter, Allie used one of the beautiful corsages that Bethany made for the ladies.

Allie's youngest brother wasn't exactly thrilled to catch something that touched his sister's leg.

Candelas made the most delicious strawberry shortcakes I have ever tasted.

… the most delicious they've ever tasted too.

The beautiful floral pieces for the boys and for the girls.

Since Candelas doesn't have a dance floor, Allie and Justin took a stroll outside and … well, I'll blog about that tomorrow. :D

Allison + Justin | Wedding | LDS Temple | San Diego, CA

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

The wedding day arrived.
Allison looked like a princess.
A dead sexy princess.
(Justin looked pretty good too...)

It was pouring, absolutely pouring until just before Allie and Justin exited the Temple. Then the Skies cleared and there was minor mist... as soon as we were done, it started pouring again.

I adored her shoes. . . And the fabulous detail in Allison's dress.

This bouquet was to die for!

Bethany from Splendid Sentiments always... ALWAYS creates stunning floral pieces. . . Always.

I love the smiles... I adore the kiss. These two simply rock.

Check the bling...

More floral pieces in Allison's striking choice of red.

Both Allison's and Justin's families were very welcoming and kind. We are so often blessed with fabulous clients who become wonderful friends.

These are two of them.

Allie + Justin | Portraits | Engagement | Beach | San Diego, CA

Saturday, January 15, 2011

Allison and Justin are seriously ridiculously fantastic people.
They met in Canada, where Allison is from, while Justin was serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They (of course) didn't start dating until Justin was all done with his mission and went back to visit.

This amazing couple went through so much grief getting Allison to the states so she could be Sealed to her love. I am truly impressed by their dedication and love for one another.

With one wedding date already missed due to immigration nonsense, the love birds were very eager to be in San Diego and married already.

We ended up shooting their engagement session the day before their Sealing (it completely rocked).
Allie and I had talked on the phone so often, it honestly felt like the four of us were old friends. Truly easy people to get along with and have some good time.

The San Diego LDS Temple Wedding and Fabulous Post Wedding Dinner to coming next week!

Paige + Blake + Buster Portraits with Kara Rush

Thursday, January 13, 2011

In Mid-December we took some time and hung out with our friend and colleague, Kara Rush. She is an uber-talented photographer and an awesome-tastic lady.

Check out some of the images below, then head to her blog to see some more!

We are so grateful for these last images. Anyone who knows our Buster, knows he loved to run and play. And no matter how hard we tried to block up his "escape" routes to the front yard he just kept digging under the fence to play out there. He liked getting out, but he loved being with us as much as we loved being with him. On January 3rd, he dug out again and was hit by a car. Kara found out from one of our neighbors and called us.  We found him and rushed to the vet, but he was gone by the time we got there. We were able to hold him in the car, call his name and he looked up one last time to see his friends. It was a horrible day, but we have been truly touched by the outpouring of love from family and friends. He was more than just a family pet. If you follow us on twitter or on facebook, you'll know he's our friend, Paige's shadow and my buddy.
Thank you, Kara, for these images. Truly.

Buster's Home : Shot with the Sony Alpha a33 from Paige Green on Vimeo.
This video was shot about 4 months ago. I was playing with Blake's new camera. Its the best video we have of Buster. I can't get over what an incredibly awesome, adorable, and loving puppy he was... I miss you, my little love.
