Sara + Ed : Engagement pictures on the beach

We love shooting engagement sessions! Every single one is so unique and such a great way to get to know a couple. I mean, you are photographing the moments between two people who have just promised to spend the rest of their lives together and are anxious to begin it! Even as exciting as that is, our fun was recently doubled when my beautiful cousin Sara asked us to spend some time with her and her fiancee, Ed and capture some images of them during this special time.

Weems Family: Orange County Family Portrait Photographer

We had the pleasure of photographing an uber sweet family with the most precious of little girls! I cannot get enough of family photography, its just so real! especially when there are young children. You can't force a child to pose or "smile for the camera".

They are authentic... and I adore capturing that.

So, please meet the Weems family:

This is Mom, Sidney and Dad.

But Sidney is our star.

She loves her Daddy.

and her Mommy.

(and Mommy and Daddy like each other too.)

Sidney is getting very curious...

she likes to explore...

and play with Mommy.

She loves her butterfly toys.

and to crawl all around Craig Park.

She likes to play with her fingers...

and her toes.

Sidney loves to laugh with Mommy

and snuggle with Mommy AND Daddy.

Sometimes shes shy...

But mostly shes wonderful (and full of wonder)

...shes also a Red Sox fan...

a BIG Red Sox fan. (like Paige... even though she still loves the Angels.)

Capturing images of Sidney and her mommy and daddy makes me happy. Seeing how much fun they have together and the ridiculous things mom and dad will do to keep their little one entertained makes me happy. Doing what I do makes me happy.

Cindy + Tom: Engagement photography at The Getty

Cindy and Tom were such a super chill, totally rad couple. They were down for anything and flowed so naturally together. They had the fantastic idea to do their engagement session in the same location where Tom proposed: The J. Paul Getty museum in L.A. (if you live in Southern California, its a must! Admission is free and beauty is in every square foot!) We shot in the gardens while Cindy and Tom told us a bit of their story. Tom even went down on one knee, proposing (for the camera) in the same exact spot he did a few months ago. It was very sweet and the crowed (who didn't realize it was a reenactment) cheered and clapped for the loving couple. Honestly, wouldn't you?
